Respite Care

The Lodge is a registered respite facility encompassing the entire ground floor of the Carennydd Building, 10 Station Road Glanamman. There are six bedrooms all with en-suite shower facilities. One bedroom has been especially adapted for the needs of wheelchair users. There is an over head hoist, a mechanical bed and specialised shower bed.

The Lodge aims to offer services in a homely environment. Service users can relax in the dining and lounge areas that lead directly into the established gardens.

The Lodge is situated near National Parks such as the Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire Coastal Paths the Gower Peninsula. Locally, there are Golfing and fishing opportunities. We are 16 miles from the city of Swansea and all of its amenities, 20 minutes from the market Towns of Carmarthen and Llandeilo. We have the National Botanical Garden of Wales, Aberglasney, wooded hillside of Dinefwr Medieval Deer Park, Historic Newtown House and Dinefwr Castle. Our counties most celebrated legacies - its castles, there are seven castles to visit locally with Carreg Cennen standing head and shoulders above them all. The Lodge is regulated by the Care & Social Services Inspectorate Wales.
